5 WAYS TO CRUSH GOALS YOU HAVE SET OUT FOR YOURSELF

5 steps to crushing your goals today.

When we initially set goals for ourselves, we start off motivated and having all of these great plans to achieve them. But then why don’t we actually follow through and get what we want?

We often have feelings of self-doubt and make excuses that lead us off our path to our goals. Here are five tips to commit to that promise and crush those goals-killers.

1. Put those goals into writing

When you write them down, you place them in sight so that you cannot ignore them and they are always on your mind. This then leads to obsession and letting it consume you. When your goals are your dominant thoughts, you don’t have any other options but to reach for them.

2. Create a schedule and stick to it

Time is your most valuable asset. Any goal worth reaching will have some sort of time cap, and you need to make sure that you have yourself organized and planned out so that you can reach it. Look in the near future and the far to make sure you spend the majority of your time working for your goals.

3. Identify why you want to reach it

When you ask yourself “why?” you put some meaning and purpose behind your goals. You need to have some sort of motivating factor that leads you through the long hours and bumpy roads to make it worthwhile. When you have that answer, you constantly have the awareness to remind yourself why you are going through what you are doing.

4. Surround yourself with supportive and like-minded individuals

When you surround yourself with others who have that same desire to succeed, you foster encouragement and motivation. You also hold yourself to a higher standard and have a way to hold yourself accountable. You need to be focused on achieving your goals, so you need to eliminate toxic people from your life that would only drag you down, and no, do not feel bad about it.

5. Set rewards for yourself

When you celebrate milestones along the path to your goal, you provide yourself with motivation and you give yourself something to work toward. This is imperative if you have a goal with a difficult path.
