Causes of RLS

Treatment of RLS
The treatment usually involves certain exercises, taking minerals and vitamins, tranquilizers, and analgesics, depending on the diagnosis. To alleviate the symptoms, you can simply get up and walk around the room. According to the experts, stretching before bedtime is a good way to cope with this issue. To do so, you need to sit on the floor, stretch out your legs, and then slowly bend the torso to the feet, reaching the hands. Hold this position for a couple of minutes.
Moreover, warm bath before bedtime is another good way to alleviate the symptoms of RLS. Try to practice simple exercises and to walk on a fresh air as well. Yoga, deep breathing, relaxation, and stretching are good solutions too. In addition, make sure you avoid caffeinated drinks as they affect the blood circulation and the quality of your sleep.
Very often, people who suffer from this disorder are iron deficient, meaning that you need to boost your iron intake. For instance, try to eat more beets, prunes, and red meat.

Tea Mixture
Ingredients:

  • – ½ liter boiled water
  • – 1 tablespoon of chamomile flowers
  • – 1 tablespoon crushed rosehip  flowers
  • – 1 teaspoon of honey
  • – Lemon juice

Instructions:
Pour the boiled water over the chamomile and rosehip flowers. Cover the mug and leave it for a while. Then, strain the liquid and add the honey and lemon juice. Consume the tea a couple of times daily and before going to bed.

Aromatherapy
Mix 3 drops of almond oil with 5 drops of basil and marjoram and massage the feet with this mixture every night.
