Deodorants Are Dangerous?

With the rise of the temperature we are more prone to use deodorants to cool the body down. Average person has 2.6 million sweat glands – built in thermostat that cools the body. This system is made from eccrine and apocrine glands.
Eccrine glands are placed on the forehead, hands and feet They activate on birth and they don’t secrete proteins or fatty acids.
Apocrine glands do secrete proteins and fatty acids and are places in the genital area and armpits. They become active during period of puberty and end in the hair follicles.
Usually this sweat doesn’t have an odor. The odor from the body comes from living bacteria on the skin. They produce proteins and fatty acids later secreted from the eccrine glands producing odors. Usually bacteria and type of food are guilty for person’s odor. We use deodorants and antiperspirants to hide and neutralize the unpleasant odor. The antiperspirants can change the physiology of the human body, and many people aren’t aware of this fact. The antiperspirants have active ingredients which accelerate brain aging and can cause Alzheimer`s disease. When applying antiperspirant we rub this drug in the sweat glands and directly in the body.

Deodorants versus antiperspirants
We use the deodorant to get a pleasant fragrance. They can kill the bacteria on the skin. The deodorants that are commercially produced have hormone-disrupting chemical fragrances that are absorbed in the skin and disrupt the endocrine system as well. The natural deodorants use plant-based essential oils. When using these natural deodorants you actually help kill the bacteria in the sweat glands that cause the actual stink.
Antiperspirants are there to stop the sweat glands and block them, by stopping the secretion of proteins and fatty acids. Many antiperspirants have in their compounds the aluminum salts like aluminum chloride, aluminum chlorohydrate or aluminum zirconium. This antiperspirants actually are seen as over-the counter drug in the US and are regulated with the Food and Drug Administration. The Administration has put on the label a Drug Identification Number(DIN) because of the change of the physiology of the body.
Chronic aluminum exposure and neurotoxicity
The aluminum salt is used in the public drinking water in the rate of 0.05 to 0.2 milligrams per liter. The aluminum was first recognized in 1986 in the USA as a neurotoxin.
There was a research in the Department of Medicine at the University of California publicized in the Neurotoxicology in 2010, showing that the aluminum salts can cause neurotoxicity. The research was done on animals where aluminum is given in low levels. It was shown that the aluminum can increase the glial activation, inflammatory cytokines and amyloid precursor proteins within the brain. This is how the brain is aging. This is presented with the patients with Alzheimer`s patients.
This substances are found in many commercial antiperspirants. Aluminum zirconium found in the antiperspirants makes up 15 percent of the antiperspirants. If you read the label you will see that it says that this product can cause kidney damage.
