6 Signs Your Partner Is Truly In Love

When two people fall in love, the beginning can seem almost like a guessing game. They’re constantly thinking about how vulnerable to be, what emotions to show, which ones to hide, and just how much insight to provide the other person into how they’re feeling. The beginning of a serious relationship can be fun for these reasons, but it can also be a little confusing.

However, people generally tend to show the same signs when they start to really fall for someone. If you’re observant, these signs will tell you whether or not the person you’ve started dating feels as seriously as you do about the relationship. Check out these six signs to see where you stack up with your significant other.

1. They Make Plans for Two

When a person gets serious about a relationship, they no longer make plans for just themselves, they make them for two. If you’re in a relationship and can’t tell if your significant other is serious, see how he or she sets their schedule. If you’re involved without having to assert yourself, chances are things are getting pretty serious.

2. They Act Like Themselves

One way to tell if someone really cares about you is by observing how they act. When you’re comfortable with someone, you aren’t afraid to be your normal, silly self.
This can be a major indicator into the seriousness of a relationship; the more comfortable your partner is around you, the more serious the relationship is getting. If it’s hard to see your partner’s true self, it may be time to move on.

3. They Take the Time

If your partner takes a while to get ready, if they care about how they look when you go out, or they work really hard to create a memorable evening, it’s a good sign they are falling for you.
Taking the time, even for the smaller aspects of dating life, can show a lot about how someone feels. If your partner doesn’t spend time on themselves for your sake, chances are they don’t feel very serious about the relationship.

4. They Tell You How They Feel

At the beginning of a relationship, it can be hard to tell someone how you truly feel. However, if your partner decides to open up and express their feelings, it doesn’t take a relationship guru to see that things are heating up. Opening up to someone isn’t easy, so when it happens in your relationship, this is a major sign that your partner is falling for you.

5. Other People Get Set Aside

One easy way to tell your partner is falling for you is by how they treat other people in their lives. The beginning of a relationship can be intoxicating, and you may find yourself only wanting to spend time with the person you’re dating. If you notice that your partner is setting plans aside just to spend time with you, you can rest assured that they are getting serious.

6. You Quirks Are Endearing

When it comes to your friendships, your quirks can be used against you. Even your own family will make fun of them, and you, mercilessly. However, you know it’s getting serious with your significant other if he or she finds them endearing.
Your partner will understand that these little things about you actually make you who you are, and that’s a big deal.

Research Reveals 7 Signs of A Nervous Breakdown To Never Ignore

The Mayo Clinic describes a nervous breakdown as “a stressful situation in which someone becomes temporarily unable to function normally in day-to-day life. It’s commonly understood to occur when life’s demands become physically and emotionally overwhelming. The term was frequently used in the past to cover a variety of mental disorders, but it’s used less often today.”
The term “nervous breakdown” is not a medical term. It also does not specify a mental illness. A nervous breakdown, however, can be an indication of mental health problems that need addressing. These can be derived from depression, anxiety, or stress. It may be a huge indicator that you’ve reached a limit on how much you can take and endure in your present state of being “stressed-out” or “at the end of your rope.” There is a limit to how much we can endure. It’s important to recognize the signs which can lead to other health issues.

According to the University of Maryland Medical Center, stress can boost your brainpower as it releases hormones that increase memory storage and help in concentration. Unfortunately, chronic stress affects your attention span and the ability to focus on projects, and the normal every day functions. In severe cases, the stress hormone cortisol can actually lessen your memory. It’s important to recognize your stress levels and make time to do things that can reduce the heaviness. You can exercise, be outside in nature, or even just take time to meditate.

When you are having a nervous breakdown, you may feel an irregular heartbeat. You feel your heart pounding against your chest and it becomes hard to breathe. Oftentimes, you may even begin to sweat. A panic attack has similar symptoms. When you get this checked by a doctor, the symptoms will show that everything is fine. Good deep breaths, with long inhales and exhales, even stretching, can help with opening up the chest area. Anxiety and stress can mimic the symptoms of a heart problems.

Stomachaches are often physical signs of anxiety and stress. If you notice that you have increased pain in your stomach, constipation, gas, bloating, or diarrhea, you could be suffering from irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). IBS is triggered by the immune system’s responses to stress. According to the Anxiety and Depression Association of America, anywhere from 50 to 90 percent of those suffering from IBS have a mental health condition, like generalized anxiety disorder or depression. If you suspect you have IBS, talk to your doctor about options for physical and emotional relief.

Stress can cause tremendous headaches. We tend to hold everything inside and the body tenses. Our neck and shoulder muscles become rigid, and the next thing that’s affected is our head. Notice your posture. Are you slouching? Are you sitting up properly and walking straight? When we are under stress, our physical and emotional bodies get attacked. Our muscles, especially around the head and neck area, find themselves working overtime ready for the fight-or-flight mode. Tension headaches can also be signs of other health issues. If your headaches persist for weeks on end, please seek professional medical assistance.

The lack of sleep is one of the most common causes of mental stress, especially extreme stress levels. Depression causes longer periods of sleep, and the inability to function properly during the day. Too much sleep is triggered by over-stress, anxiety and other mental disorders. Symptoms of insomnia include: lying awake for long periods of time before falling asleep; short intervals of sleep; being awake for the larger part of the night; overwhelming feeling of not haven’t slept at all; and/or waking up too early in the morning. Your doctor will diagnose sleep problems based on your medical and sleep histories during a physical exam.

Nervous breakdowns can be part of depression. Depression is the state of low mood and aversion to activity that can affect a person’s thoughts, behavior, feelings and sense of well-being. Depression can be the underlying cause of your nervous breakdown. If you have little interest of pleasure in doing the normal things in your life or you feel hopeless, these are severe signs of depression. If you have restless thoughts, or suicidal thoughts, please get professional help. Untreated bouts of depression can lead to tremendous mental and physical health problems.

Anxiety is caused by fear and phobias. It’s the inability to see past this moment with an overwhelming sense of paralysis. Being fully stressed out all the time is a common symptom of anxiety. Anxiety disrupts sleep, causing racing thoughts for hours at a time. While some anxiety is generalized, others can be more specific. When the anxiety is connected to something specific like certain situations, it can be crippling. Medication for anxiety is common in severe cases. Psychotherapy and other mind-body modalities, such as acupuncture, yoga, and hypnotherapy can reduce the stress and fears.
As with every significant change in your health, please do not ignore symptoms that persist. A nervous breakdown can cause many other health problems. It’s important to recognize that every so often in our lives, we may need help to cope with the stressors, anxieties, and sadness. Don’t deny yourself the ability to be nurtured and supported by others.

In science, the tendency is to think that more discoveries = more knowledge. However, when it comes to the history of mankind, this is not always the case.
We’ve compiled five of the most baffling mysteries ever found, for which answers are still to be found.

The Shroud of Turin

The Vatican claims that this is not an authentic document, however this does not stop people from pondering the wonderful mystery of it.
The imprint on the material seems to show an image of a bearded adult male.
There are signs of blood throughout, proving that the man came to a violent end. It is understandable that people believe this to be the burial cloth for Jesus Christ, as the weave in the fabric indicates that it came from the same era, and the blood pattern points to crucifixion as the cause of death.
There is some debate as to the era of the fragment, though, as some scientists have dated the shroud to be from the 13th or 14th century. Even if it is not Jesus’ burial cloth, it remains ‘shrouded’ in mystery.

The Nazca Lines

The Nazca lines are a collection of geoglyphs in Peru, and they are a mystery because of how they were created and for what reason.
There are about 13,000 individual lines forming 800 designs and covering an area of about 175 square miles. They were thought to be created between 500 BC and 500 AD.
The designs appear to have been drawn by a giant’s hand. They depict animals, plants, designs and shapes. Strangely, their purpose is yet to be revealed. It is unique that they can only be seen fully from the air.
How would these ancient peoples have designed these? This is one of the mysteries of the Nazca lines.
Speculation abounds as to the involvement of aliens in these formations. Some say that they are landing places for alien craft, and others say they were even designed by ETs. More plausibly, they were designed to honor the gods of the Nazca people.

The Piri Reis Map

This map was accidentally discovered in a Turkish museum in 1929. No logical explanation has ever been offered for its illustrations.
The backstory goes like this: in 1513 admiral Piri Reis drew this map of the known world. It included Spain, Portugal, Africa, the Atlantic Ocean, Caribbean, South America and Antarctica. It is theorized that the part of the map featuring North America and the Eastern part of the world was at some point destroyed.
The mystery comes in when you think about what a 16th century Turkish admiral would have known about the world. How could he have designed such an accurate map without the aid of flight?
Also, without Azimuthal projection or spherical geometry, how could Reis have calculated the correct distances between continents and other coastlines? Also, Antarctica had not officially been discovered, adding to the mystery.

The Voynich Manuscript

This document was named for Polish antiquarian Wilfried M. Voynich. He discovered the manuscript in 1912 in a monastery in Italy. It is a book of strange pictures and an unknown and undecipherable language. It has been estimated to be written between 400 and 800 years ago by an anonymous author employing an unknown code.
It is known that the manuscript was a pharmacological manual, as it appears to depict early medical methods. It also contains a cosmological map. However, it does contain unidentified plants, unknown cosmological charts and pictures of naked women in odd green liquid.
Many cryptanalysts have attempted to translate the Voynich Manuscript, but none have succeeded. Some think that the document is an elaborate hoax, that the words are random and meaningless, and the images the stuff of fantasy.
The document currently sits in the Beinecke Rare Book and Manuscript Library at Yale University. So far, no one has deciphered a word of it.

The Bimini Road

Screen Shot 2015-12-01 at 3.49.21 PMIn 1968, off the coast of Bimini in the Bahamas, many flat, large limestone rocks were discovered under the water. Scientists were confused because the stones formed a street that spanned almost a mile straight. The formation seemed human created.
Naturally, many speculated that these were the ruins of an ancient advanced civilization. However others refused to believe this, saying that it could be the result of natural phenomena.
Whatever their thought, no one could deny one of the prophecies of Edgar Cayce, spoken in 1938: “A part of the ruins of the lost Atlantis will be discovered in the sea around the islands of Bimini…”
The origins of these ruins continue to trouble scientists and metaphysicians to this day.

10 Things To Remember When You’re Feeling Stuck In Life

“I don’t know what to do.” “I’m in a rut.” “I feel stuck.”
Is this something you’re feeling right now?
Don’t worry, you’re not alone and this is a very common problem.
When nothing exciting happens and you can’t seem to make that step forward and change things, you may get frustrated and depressed…
And exactly for times like this we have created the video below with the list of 10 most important things to remember when you’re feeling stuck.
Have a look, this WILL help you.
(BY the way, you may want to save this list and refer back to it as needed).

#1. Feeling stuck is a sign that it’s time to make a change.

Changes can shake-up your patterns, create new energy and change your outlook on life. If you feel stuck, this simply means that something isn’t working for you anymore. Whether it’s your job, your relationship, your house, your circle of friends or your hobbies, if you are not excited about them anymore, it’s probably to finally do something to change it.
And next time don’t wait until you feel completely stuck in life to make that big step forward.

#2. Even the tiniest possible step is progress.

You may think that there is nothing substantial you can do. But you don’t need to. Small things become big things. Focus on small steps, they are wonderful events on their own, so enjoy them.
Start right now, make a list of tiny ways you can get closer to your goal, then pick one and take it as soon as possible.

#3. You don’t have to have it all figured out to move forward.

The thing with feeling stuck is that sometimes you don’t know what you need to get “unstuck” or what you want from life in general. But this “numbness” and “emptiness” that you’re feeling (temporarily!) should not stop you from making a change.
Even if you don’t see the end result and don’t know where it is exactly that you’re going, it is crucial to just start moving. Try new things, meet new people, buy new clothes – anything that can help you figure out what it is that you want and how to get it.

#4. Nothing changes if nothing changes.

Unpleasant truth. If you are just sitting around and waiting for something or someone to come into your life and suddenly change it for the better, you’re not going to get very far. YOU are the only one who can really make a difference. So start acting!

#5. New beginning can feel like endings.

Now, you may not actually see the opportunities that are coming your way. Those ending that make you sad and disappointed should be seen as new beginning. This is a new chapter in your life, your chance to change your life.

#6. Beautiful things happen when you clear your life of all the negativity.

Negativity often comes hand in hand with feeling stuck. So your number one priority is removing toxicity from your life. And you can start with surrounding yourself with positive people and getting rid of the negative ones.

#7. Believe what your heart tells you, not what others say.

Ask yourself this – are you living someone else’s life? Are other people influencing your every decision? Remember that it’s YOUR life.
Here is what you can do:
  • Have fun and experiment. Discover what it is that YOU like and care about.
  • Spend time with yourself. Being alone isn’t a bad thing.
  • Set boundaries. People should respect your choices and your individuality.
  • Invest in your self-awareness.
  • Question your beliefs.
  • Take a step back and think about the bigger picture.

#8. Stop overthinking.

Whatever happens, happens. Just relax. You cannot control everything, so you need to learn to just let go of some things. You may be feeling stuck because you are always in your own head, worrying and obsessing.

#9. If it’s meant to be, it will happen at the right time, at the right place, for the right reasons.

Even though you are the one who is responsible for making a change in your life, you need to stay open-minded about how to do it. If you’re sticking to a specific way but failing, it may be because it just wasn’t meant for you. Try something else. And accept that things happen in a different order than the one you’ve got planned.

#10. Your best is yet to come.

Don’t look back, you’re not going that way. Keep moving forward. Good things CAN happen and ARE going to happen.

You Should Stop Eating Nutella Because of This!

Ah, Nutella.
It’s one of those things that’s almost synonymous with happiness to many. One Vice writer even dubs the act of eating it straight from the jar a “subcultural ritual.
There are donuts filled with it,  and giant Nutella tubs for sale on Amazon.
Needless to say, it tastes pretty marvelous.
It’s also poisoning your family.
No, you’re not all going to keel over and die in the next hour. But you will potentially suffer several long-term health effects if you continue eating it on a regular basis.
Let’s start by looking at the ingredients of Nutella.

What’s in the Jar?

According to Nutella themselves, the product contains the following:
  • Sugar
  • Palm Oil
  • Hazelnuts
  • Cocoa
  • Milk
  • Soy Lecithin
  • Vanillin
You see, it’s not produced from the sort of soy you might associate with long-living Asian populations who consume high amounts of fermented soy products. Rather, it’s a non-fermented, genetically modified type of soy that the body has a hard time digesting.
Further, two tablespoons of Nutella contain a whopping 200 calories, 11 grams of fat and 21 grams of sugar, about half as much as a can of Coke.
And that’s just two tablespoons. If you know anything about Nutella consumption, you’ll know that’s a drop in the bucket compared to what many people eat in one sitting.

The Worst Part

We haven’t even touched the worst ingredient in Nutella yet, which is…
No, it’s not vanilla as you might think. Vanilla is an aphrodisiac, a stress reliever and mood booster. Vanillin is imitation vanilla, or ‘vanilla flavor.’ It’s a low quality sweetener produced to taste just like vanilla.
And the worst part about it is that it contains unlabeled MSG, which has been dubbed a “slow poison.” It has zero health benefits and has been linked to a triggering of brain chemicals similar to those associated with addiction.
MSG is also associated with ALS, a condition for which there is no known cure.

Palm Oil – Also Bad

The palm oil contained in Nutella is also not the most friendly substance.
It is difficult to digest and can cause toxicity in the heart, kidney, liver, lungs and reproductive organs.
The Center for Science in the Public Interest also reported that palm oil raises blood cholesterol levels, which is a risk factor for heart disease.
And it’s not just the human body that’s being harmed by palm oil. Many animals are facing extinction as their habitats are destroyed by its production.

So What Now?

Yeah, I’m pretty bummed too.
The famous hazelnut spread is one of my favorite things to eat. But does the poisonous nature of Nutella mean we should all doom ourselves to an existence fueled by fruit jam and peanut butter alone?
No, of course not!
If you like hazelnut spreads, you have a few options. The most appealing is making your own!
Check out the following POPSUGAR Food tutorial to making your very own tasty Nutella that’s even better than the original.
  • 8 oz roasted, skinless hazelnuts
  • 1/3 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp hazelnut oil
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/8 tsp salt
See? All-natural ingredients you can source on your own!
Check out the video below for instructions on whipping these ingredients up into your very own tasty spread.

Is Someone You Know Having A Bad Day? Send Them This 12 Word Text

You send text messages daily, and telling the important people in your life that you care about them is as easy as a simple 12-word text that is actually designed to help improve their day.
A great conversation by text message can be a challenge to accomplish seeing as we rarely have time to write out our full thoughts and feelings. Instead, we abbreviate, shorten, and delete any unnecessary information when we type a text message response.

You stare at your phone screen waiting for a response from the person who you just texted, but nothing is coming through. You think to yourself ‘They must be busy’ but the lack of a reply leaves you wondering if something is wrong or how you can help. Without knowing, you’re at a loss to improve their day, or even to know if they need or want your help. In this article we will look at a simple 12-word text that will help you get a reply next time.

Ever ask someone how they are doing by text message and just get a single word response like ‘fine’ or ‘OK?’ You aren’t alone; texting how we truly feel is difficult, just like it’s sometimes difficult to express ourselves verbally as well. You might tell anyone the same response, rather than taking the time to explaining your frustration at the bank today or whatever is on your mind.
Researchers working jointly from the Palo Alto Research Center in Palo Alto, California and St John’s Innovation Centre in Cambridge, United Kingdom looked at daily text message communication among teenagers. They say ‘Most of the single messages that were sent asked, either explicitly or implicitly, for a response. Some were conversational openers such as ‘Hi what are you doing?’ or ‘What’s up?’ Others took the form of explicit enquiries to the recipients such as ‘Did you have a good evening/weekend?’ Other messages that described events or activities also appeared to be implicit requests for responses.’
Unfortunately, many text messages went unanswered, which was frustrating for the sender of the message. The researchers say ‘One extreme example of a single (person) requesting a response was an SMS that (a participant) received which he summarized as ‘I’ve had a big fight and I don’t know what to do.” In this case, there was no answer, even though the person sending the text message was clearly having a moment of crisis. So how do we get people to respond to our text messages’

The key to using an effectively worded text message that prompts people to respond is to make it like a game. In her book Reality is Broken, author and game researcher Jane McGonigal says that the way we word a simple text message can elicit a response from the people we care about and that will enable us to act to help them.
Getting people to pay attention is as simple as making a kind of game out of your text message. The 12 word text that McGonigal suggests we use is ‘How is your day going on a scale of one to ten?’ She says that this lets the person quickly respond with a single number. But it’s as though they are playing a game with us, which most people enjoy. It’s like they are seeing this 12-word text message as a game and they hope to get the answer right to the trivia question that you asked.

After the person responds to you with a number, say ‘5’ for example, McGonigal says you then would ask ‘Is there anything I can do to help you to go from a 5 to a 6?’ or whatever the next highest number would be. In this way, you have a sense of how they are feeling, and you have also offered to help improve their day.
The person you are texting may not know how to communicate their needs and describe a way for you to help, but once you have a sense for how they feel, you can make suggestions that you are willing to give that will improve their mood, state of mind, spiritual or physical well-being.
If you are offering help to someone you care about, remember to first make sure that your own physical, mental, emotional and spiritual needs are met. Giving to someone else without filling your own bucket first leaves you drained of energy and unable to give anymore.

Awakening is not a thing. It is not a goal, not a concept. It is not something to be attained. It is a metamorphosis. If the caterpillar thinks about the butterfly it is to become, saying ‘And then I shall have wings and antennae, there will never be a butterfly.
The caterpillar must accept its own disappearance in its transformation. When the marvelous butterfly takes wing, nothing of the caterpillar remains.
“Your own Self-Realization is the greatest service you can render the world.”
- Ramana Maharshi
“Once the soul awakens, the search begins and you can never go back. From then on, you are inflamed with a special longing that will never again let you linger in the lowlands of complacency and partial fulfillment. The eternal makes you urgent. You are loath to let compromise or the threat of danger hold you back from striving toward the summit of fulfillment.”
- John O’Donohue
“As soon as you look at the world through an ideology you are finished. No reality fits an ideology. Life is beyond that. … That is why people are always searching for a meaning to life… Meaning is only found when you go beyond meaning. Life only makes sense when you perceive it as mystery and it makes no sense to the conceptualizing mind.”
- Anthony de Mello
“A single event can awaken within us a stranger totally unknown to us. To live is to be slowly born.”
- Unknown
“When one realises one is asleep, at that moment one is already half-awake.”
- P.D. Ouspensky
“You are your master. Only you have the master keys to open the inner locks.”
- Amit Ray
“No one and nothing outside of you can give you salvation, or free you from the misery. You have to light your own lamp. You have to know the miniature universe that you yourself are.”
- Banani Ray
“Awakening is not a thing. When the marvelous butterfly takes wing, nothing of the caterpillar remains.”
- Alejandro Jodorowsky
“Remember seeker, our earthly perceptions of reality are just an illusion.”
- Unknown
“Awakening is the ultimate of religion. Religion is, not really, in believing something outside of your being. It is not in believing or following some authoritative figure, the church, temple, organization or any ideological system of belief. Religion is trusting in what is eternal within you.”
- Unknown
“Awakening is not a journey of discovering a distant land or a coveted secret, but rather, it is a journey of surrendering to what has always been present but shrouded in illusion and disillusion.”
- Shavasti
“I leave my human nature to unfold according to its destiny. I remain as I AM.
- Sri Nisargadatta Maharaj
“When you are truly awakened, you have completely stopped trying to become awakened. You simply are. You know that you did not locate awakening; awakening located you.”
- Unknown
“Anything that appears and disappears cannot actually be you because it is being observed by you. By removing the attention from these things and noticing what remains, you are left only with what is permanent — the truth of who you are.”
