Autistic Boy Brought Home Birthday Invitation, Mom Shocked By What It Said

Timothy was diagnosed with nonverbal autism when he was only two years old. As a result, every noise, distraction and emotional stimuli is multiplied ten fold. Though the now 7-year-old Timothy is well liked in school, his condition meant he was forced to turn down one too many birthday party invitations.
Recently, however, he got a birthday invite with a special note attached that brought his mom, Tricia, to tears. She took to Facebook to express her disbelief and gratitude.
The note read: [My son] Carter sat beside Timothy at school and he always talks about him (: I really hope he can come. We are renting a bounce castle that we can attach a small bounce slide at the bottom. We will also have water balloons & water guns. Maybe Timothy can come earlier in the day if it would be too much with the whole class. Let me know so we can make it work.

Tricia couldn’t believe the beautiful way that Carter’s mom had considered her son.
“Yes, I was shocked that someone would take not only the time to write the note but to be considerate enough to include him with all of his difficulties. It was a wonderful moment … We parents of the ‘specials’ know only too well the hurts our kids feel when they are left out of the social gatherings relative to childhood. Organized sports, play dates, sleepovers, and yes – the dreaded birthday parties,” she says. “I want only one thing for our kids – for all kids really, and that is inclusion. All they want is to feel included and accepted for who and what they are – that different is okay … it’s just different.”
For Carter’s mom, inviting Timothy didn’t require a second thought.
“Carter had always talked about him, so I didn’t think twice when he wanted him at the party,” Peikos says. “The only question was, ‘How could we make it work so that Timothy could come and have a great time just like anyone else?’ He came early. He went right into the bounce castle with Carter and they had a great time.” Peikos says she never realized just how important those simple words, “Let’s make it work,” would be. “These few words allowed Tricia and I to develop an amazing friendship. I love knowing that one note gave her the ability to go on another day as she continues life with Timothy.”

If you chose Eye 8, Deep down you are eccentric. You’re the type of person who has unusual interests, beliefs, and practices. You’ve always been a bit of a weirdo. If you chose eye 9, Deep Down you are Intuitive. You’re the type of person who understands other people and the world very well. You don’t let on to how much you know. You can tell so much from someone’s facial expressions or tone of voice. And you always know when you’re being lied to. You show the world exactly what you want to show. Besides being good at reading people, you also know how you’re being read. You know when you’re being manipulated, and you know how to manipulate someone if you have to. If You See THIS Weed, Don't Through It Away. Here's Why

Purslane, which most people take for a common weed, is actually a health-boosting food that many people grow for consumption. Purslane or Portulaca oleracea is a beautiful plant with yellow flowers. It originates from India and Persia, but has since spread all over the world.
This plant is very versatile in that it can grow almost everywhere. It is packed full of Omega-3 fatty acids, fiber, vitamin A, vitamin C, all sorts of B vitamins, iron, magnesium, manganese, potassium, calcium, and copper, as well as betalain pigments and carotenoids.
Here are some of the health benefits associated with consuming this plant.

Heart Health

Both potassium and Omega-3 fatty acids are known to promote heart health. Potassium works to lower blood pressure and Omega-3 fatty acids help to reduce the amount of bad cholesterol in the body. These two components of purslane are what make it so great for the heart.

Weight Loss

Being low in calories, but packed with fiber makes purslane perfect for those who want to shed some extra pounds. This plant is also nutrient-rich which means that people who consume it will feel full without all those extra calories.

Gastrointestinal Health

In traditional Chinese medicine, purslane is used to treat gastrointestinal problems from diarrhea to dysentery. This plant’s ability to treat these issues most likely comes from several organic compounds found in the plant, like dopamine, malic acid, citric acid, alanine, and glucose.

Bone Strength

The calcium, magnesium, iron, and manganese in purslane are all necessary elements to protect and sustain bone health. Daily consumption of this “weed” may even prevent osteoporosis.

Improved Circulation

As previously stated, purslane is full of iron and copper. These two elements are essential for a healthy circulatory system. A healthy circulatory system contributes to improved overall body health because more blood is getting to where it needs to be.
The next time you see purslane outside, take the time to pick it and give it a try. Adding it to your diet may be just what you need to live a long and healthy life!

I have heard it tastes really good!

Drink THIS Tea To Lower Cortisol Levels, Stop Acne and Reduce Anxiety

Holy basil isn’t the sweet basil you taste in marinara sauce or the herb you might use to flavor your homemade soup. Holy basil, also known as tulsi, is native to Southeast Asia. It has a long history in Indian medicine as a treatment for many health conditions, from eye diseases to ringworm. It’s considered an adaptogen herb, which means it helps promote balance to restore and protect the body.

Holy basil is highly nutritious. It contains calcium, zinc, iron and chlorophyll, along with Vitamins A and C. It can be used as a natural medicine for many health issues. Research has shown that this healing herb can even help your mind cope with stress. Today, holy basil is usually consumed in supplement form, or in tulsi tea. It’s ability to balance the body can work wonders on the body.

Here’s why you should drink holy basil tea:

1. It Can Help Clear Skin Problems

A team of researchers from Thailand conducted a study to find out how holy basil works against bacteria. They found that a 3% concentration of holy basil oil proved effective against bacteria that causes acne. The primary compound of holy basil is eugenol, which is the active ingredients in clove oil – a powerful antimicrobial. It has many health benefits for the skin. When using tulsi for acne, use unrefined virgin coconut oil as a carrier. When it’s melted, it is more easily absorbed into the skin.

2. It Can Help Prevent Cancer

Holy basil contains anti-inflammatory and immune-boosting properties. It can help protect the body from fever, pain and stress. It can also protect vital organs such as the liver. People who regularly consume tulsi are less likely to be immune-compromised, so they are less susceptible to developing cancer cells. The phytochemicals in tulsi prevent chemical-induced skin, liver, oral and lung cancers, thanks to their ability to increase antioxidant activity. They also help to prevent radiation induced DNA-damage.

3. It Can Help Control Diabetes

Tulsi has been used for years to control blood glucose and act as a natural diabetes remedy. Studies have shown that the extract of holy basil leaves can decrease glucose by more than 36% in normal rats, and by 18% in diabetes-inducted rats. Holy basil can also help prevent symptoms of diabetes, including weight gain, hypertension and high cholesterol.

4. It Prevents Elevated Cortisol Levels And Reduces Stress

The hypoglycemic effects of holy basil may be due to it’s ability to regulate serum cortisol levels. Cortisol is often referred to as the stress hormone. Elevated cortisol levels are responsible for a number of health problems in the body. Elevated cortisol levels can cause mood swings, weight gain, acne, high blood pressure and anxiety, among other problems. Holy basil has been found to reduce anxiety and emotional stress to prevent these issues. It’s able to balance the hormone levels in the body to prevent cortisol levels from becoming too high.

A book called “Biocentrism: How life and consciousness are the keys to understanding the true nature and the universe” stirred the Internet, stating that life does not end when the body dies, but it lasts forever.
The author of this book, scientist Dr. Robert Lanza, who the New York Times pronounced as the third most important living scientist, believes that this is entirely possible.

Beyond time and space

Lanza is an expert in regenerative medicine and scientific director of the Company for advanced cell technology. Before he became famous for his research on stem cells, he was known for the successful experiments of cloning endangered species.
However, the scientist has recently started to deal with physics, quantum mechanics and astrophysics. This interesting mix created the theory of biocentrism, which the professor now engaged. Biocentrism teaches that life and consciousness are the basis of the universe and that consciousness creates the material universe, and not vice versa.
Lanza indicates the structure of the universe and how that the laws and constants of the forces of the universe are tuned for life, suggesting that intelligence existed before matter.
He also claims that space and time are not objects or things, but tools of our animal understanding. Lanza says that we actually carry space and time with us as turtles wear their armor, meaning that we exist even outside of time and space.
The theory suggests that the death of awareness is not possible, but is only a thought because people identify themselves with their body. They believe that the body will disappear sooner or later and that their consciousness will die with the body.
If the body creates awareness, then awareness dies along with the body, but if the body receives consciousness in the same way as cable TV signal reception, it is clear that consciousness continues to exist when it leaves its physical shell. In fact, consciousness exists outside the boundaries of time and space. It can be anywhere: in the body and outside the body. In other words, it is not local in the same manner as quantum structures.
Lanza also believes that there are several simultaneous universes. In one universe, the body is dead while in another one it still exists, absorbing the consciousness that moved to this universe. This means that a person who dies does not end up in heaven or hell, but in a similar world that was once inhabited, but is alive again. It so happens again and again.

Multiple Universes

This interesting theory has many supporters, including many well-known scientists. These are physicists and astrophysicists who agree about the existence of parallel worlds and that indicate the possible existence of multiple universes. They claim that there are no physical laws that prevent the existence of parallel worlds.
Science fiction author, HG Wales in 1895, first presented this idea. 62 years later, Dr. Hugh Everett developed it, and the core assumption is that the universe is divided to countless similar parts at any time, and that this happens with every so incurred universe. In one of these universes you are reading this article and in another one you might be watching TV.
The initiating factors of this universe division are our actions, says Everett. If we make a choice, the universe is immediately divided into two universes with different outcomes.
Andrei Linde, a scientist with the Lebedev Institute of Physics, developed the theory of multiple universes back in the 80s. He is now a professor at Stanford University. Linde explained that the universe is composed of many blown spheres, which increase similar spheres, which then produce spheres in even greater numbers, and so on to infinity. These spheres are completely separate and independent from each other, but represent different parts of the same physical universe.
The fact that our universe is not unique is supported by data obtained with the Planck telescope.
Scientists are using this data to create the most accurate map of the cosmic radiation that has existed since the foundation of the universe. They also discovered that the universe has a lot of dark holes.
Theoretical physicist Laura Mersini-Houghton from the University of North Carolina claims that the anomalies in the area are due to the fact that the surrounding universes affect our universe, and that those dark holes are the direct result.

The scientific explanation for the Soul

So there are many places or many universes in which our soul can be moved after death, according to the theory of neo-biocentrism. Is there a scientific theory of consciousness that supports this claim? According to Dr. Stuart Hameroff, near-death experience occurs when the quantum information that inhabits the nervous system leaves the body and scatters in the universe.
He argues that awareness is in the microtubules of the brain cells, which are the primary site of the quantum processing.
After death, this information goes out of the body, together with consciousness. He believes that our experience of consciousness result of quantum gravity effects in these microtubules.

3 Issues That Can Arise From Crossing Your Legs

You just got home from a long day at work. Finally, you get to kick off your shoes, grab a refreshing drink, and sit down in your favorite chair in the living room. As you ease into the seat cushion, you automatically make the move to cross your legs. Crossing your legs has become synonymous with relaxation, and so many people do it when they sit down to rest.

Unfortunately, being comfortable isn’t synonymous with being healthy. Posture can have a major impact on your body’s health, and if it goes unchecked, it could cause some serious imbalances in the bones and muscles. As it turns out, crossing your legs is an example of bad posture. Here are three reasons why you should stop.

1. A Raise in Blood Pressure

When you go to the doctor, there’s a reason why he or she asks you to sit with your legs uncrossed and your arms flat during a blood pressure exam; crossing your legs raises your blood pressure.
In 2010, seven studies revealed that leg crossing causes a higher blood pressure, which can be incredibly problematic for people who already suffer from high blood pressure.
Cardiovascular disease and heart conditions are the number one cause of death around the globe, indicating that people are already prone to having high blood pressure.
When you cross your legs, you decrease your body’s ability to pump blood because you’ve constricted the vessels in your legs.

2. Muscle Numbness

When you cross your legs, not only do you constrict the blood vessels, but you also put pressure on the peroneal nerve at the back of your knee. This nerve supplies sensation to the lower extremities, so when it’s cut off, you may feel your feet going numb.
Having your foot fall asleep is no big issue, except when it happens all the time. If you tend to cross your legs when you sit down, your foot probably falls asleep more often than it should. This can indicate that the nerve behind your knee has some permanent damage that may need to be addressed.

3. Skeletal Issues and Poor Posture

Having poor posture now can mean several issues later.
Crossing your legs isn’t good for your posture, and it won’t just affect your lower body. When you cross your legs, your shoulders round and lean forward, your muscles become stretched in certain places, and can cause lower back and neck pain.
Over time, these issues will worsen, and have a permanent impact on your skeletal system later in life. Crossing your legs can also create a pelvic imbalance that makes the inner thigh muscles shorter, while making the outer thigh muscles longer. This puts unnecessary pressure on the joints.

Most of us consider ourselves to be ‘positive people.’ Or, at least, we try to be as often as we can. Sometimes though, our thoughts get the better of us.
Thinking about a problem can cause an overabundance of other thoughts to follow, causing an endless spiral of overthinking. Our thoughts have power- if you think too much about something, it can cause unnecessary stress and even make you feel like you are losing your mind.
“The more you overthink the less you will understand.” – Habeeb Akande
That quote holds a lot of truth. How many times have you not been thinking about something, when suddenly, out of nowhere, the answer comes to you?
It happens to me all the time. When we think about something that happened, and we try to analyze it, we sometimes create problems that weren’t even there in the first place.
Overthinking can cause serious problems in your relationships and with your mental health. Here are 5  ways to calm an overthinking mind:
1. Don’t blame yourself.
A common pattern with overthinkers is that they tend to blame themselves when things go wrong. They observe a situation and pick it apart, trying to find what they could have done differently.

You need to remember to let blame go. Things happen as they happen and if you didn’t intentionally do something wrong, then you can’t blame yourself. Life gets complicated sometimes, but there is no reason to continuously blame yourself for those complications.
2. Accept change as a part of life.
Change is inevitable. You can’t control every aspect of your life, and trying to will only cause more frustration. Some things you can control, and so you should work on them as you please.
But some things will always be out of your grasp and worrying about them is pointless.
Buddha once said, “If you have a problem that can be fixed, then there is no use in worrying. If you have a problem that cannot be fixed, then there is no use in worrying.”
3. Leave “what if” alone.
“What if” is a powerful tool for the overthinking mind. It can take you down paths you never would have journeyed before. This is exactly why you should leave it alone.
Possibilities are great to consider, but not when they lead you to a world with only negative aspects. Focus more on the present, and not what could have been, or what might be.
4. Meditate.
I know, I know, meditation is the most difficult thing for someone who is constantly in their head. That being said, I believe there is a way around the issue of ‘not being able to silence the mind.’
As an overthinker myself, I have found that using mantras during meditation, combined with relaxed breathing, improved my meditative state and allowed for more clarity. “Om Mani Padme Hum” is a personal favourite.
Buddhist Lama, Kalu Rinpoche once said, “Through mantra, we no longer cling to the reality of the speech and sound encountered in life, but experience it as essentially empty. Then confusion of the speech aspect of our being is transformed into enlightened awareness.”
5. Be patient with yourself.
Our self-talk is very powerful. Don’t be hard on yourself when you catch your mind engaging 5th gear. Decelerate, breathe, and focus. Be patient with your progress and speak to yourself with kind, supportive words. Overthinking took time to develop and it will take time to unlearn.

Edward Snowden Just Issued THIS Terrifying Warning About Google’s New Messaging App

Edward Snowden continues his fearless crusade for privacy—this time by warning people not to use Google’s new messaging app.

The new app is called “Allo”, and according to the notorious NSA whistleblower, it “records every message you ever send” and can even make it “available to police upon request.”
And it appears Google pulled off a bait-and-switch: despite originally claiming that the app used end-to-end encryption (like one of its competitors, “WhatsApp”), they waited until the day of the messenger’s release to announce massive changes to its privacy standards.
Thinking about #Allo? Last year, our secret court approved 100% of requests for surveillance. They would cover Allo.
— Edward Snowden (@Snowden) September 21, 2016
“Allo” will utilize Orwellian features like “Smart Reply” which uses artificial intelligence to predict your behavior, thus making functions more convenient for you.
However, as Zero Hedge reports:
How does Allo plan on predicting your every word and witty emoji, you ask? ‘The more you use it, the more it improves over time,’ which basically means they’ll collect and store as much of your data as possible and then use artificial intelligence to guess your replies.
An app that collects as much data about your daily behavior as possible—all while being totally vulnerable to the spying eyes of U.S. intelligence?
You may want to consider uninstalling this app…
